TV censorship

It’s interesting to see what different countries censor. I know that in North America, they’re a afraid of nudity and tend to not show it. But as I’m currently living in Australia I’m noticing that they like to censor ths opposite way round. For example, my flatmate was watch a late night movie (Steven Segal at his finest in Out For Justice) and I noticed that the swearing had the usual voice-overs. But more importantly is that I found the action scenes were jumpy, they’d edited out the main parts of the fight scenes. You’d see Segal would walk into a room throw a couple punches then it would cut to him walking out with the badguys lying in a big pile and you were not shown how they got there. I want to know, how did that badguy end up on that meat hook! Now I ask you, what good is a Segal movie if you can’t see the action? Not that they’re any good in the first place.
