it’s all relative

It’s weird how things look different, depending on the context their taken in. Back when I ran track & field for Queen’s, I would have never considered myself that ‘fast’. Partially b/c I was always surrounded by teammates that were faster, could only become an alternate for the relay teams, never qualified for meet finals, etc. But now that I play ultimate frisbee, I’m considered one of the faster people on the team. People use the ‘fast’ label on me. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, it just takes some getting used to… part of me doesn’t want to totally accept the label, partially b/c I don’t want it to go to my head. Not to mention there will always be someone out there that is faster.
