the good: We finished our first day successfully. We ended up 3-0 for the day and outscored our opponents 45-8 and all games ended in point caps. So we’re happy. These games are good to help raise the confidence of some of our less experienced players (mainly some of the new girls). In another “good” is that I’m achieving my personal goals, which were to have better throw selection and step up my D. I got a few blocks today and haven’t thrown a bad pass… yet, knock on wood.
the bad: I got a sun burn! I think the sweat washed off the sunscreen from the back of my neck, and it got toasted. Not too bad, but enough for me to notice it. In another bad, the team is getting charged $90 for team lunches, we’re only 15 people. We’ve put a stop to that, we can make a better lunch for less then that, they were only giving us a pre-made sandwich and a gronola bar. It was highway robbery at it’s finest.
the ugly: I rolled my weak ankle… not good, it wasn’t too bad though, I iced it right away and stopped playing for the day (luckily it was the last game). Obviously my compression bandage isn’t doing the job, so I’ll have to tape it up tomorrow.
