service pack sux

Interesting weekend, I’m managed to retain my procrastination king crown, which means right now I’m super busy with essays and readings. You’d figure that would change when you start doing a masters… nope. Anyways, so the main point I want to make is that I recently updated my WinXP to include the latest major update, Service Pack 2, and my computer gave me the MS Blue Screen of Death not once, but twice this weekend! Both in a 24 hour period and both when I wasn’t at the computer. I’ve NEVER had a problem with the old XP, other then it’s made by Microsoft, but I thought that the service pack was supposed to help, not make create problems. Also, when I installed it, Microsoft tried to sneak in some of their products again by making links to IE and Real Media Player. HELLO! I deleted them for a reason!

In other news, John Howard was elected Australian PM again, making this his 3rd term in office if I’m correct. But the rumour mill is saying that he won’t stay for the whole term. Why would you run and not have the intention of staying to complete the job? Probably b/c he knew his party couldn’t win if he wasn’t the leader.
