Well last night was an interesting one. I was just finishing dinner around 8:30 (I know I eat late) and the power went off. After finishing my dinner by candle light (I’m such a romantic) I decideded to go for a walk along the beach. I ended up walking a long the side of the local bay and when I sat down at the top of it, someone on the other side was lighting fireworks. So for about 10-15 minutes I got prime seats to the fireworks 300-400m away. I ended up sitting there for about an hour and I gotta say that it was really cool just sitting there in the dark listening to the ocean crash against the rocks 10m below. It was a good time to be reflective about my time in Oz, which is quickly coming to a close.
On a side note, a good friend of mine is in New Orleans right now and she took a photo a sign that’s on the unviersty’s campus, it says that the campus is a drug and firearms free zone. They actually have signs saying that?
