It’s surprising how much crap I left in Toronto when I left for Oz. So much of it I kept b/c I’m a pack-rat. Upon coming back I realized how much I didn’t ned b/c I survived 20months in Sydney without it, so why do I need it now? So far I’ve managed to clean my room and throw out four full garbage bags of crap, one huge bag of clothes for the Slavo, two boxes of books and a box of magazines (am I really gonna re-read old editions of Maxim?). I think the hardest thing to throw out were some of my mix tapes. I dind’t throw them all out, just the unlabeled ones. I plaed a couple last night, oh the memories!
On another note, I was randomly surfing the net last night (in an effort to procrastinate from my job hunt) and found out that the John Butler Trio are playing in Toronto on Thursday. These guys are my favourite band from Oz and I was surprised to see that tickets were still available. B/c while in Oz tickets are susually sold out within 24hrs. So I immediately scooped up tix before I had someone to go with, even if I had to go alone I would. But don’t worry, I won’t be going alone, it wasn’t hard to find someone to go with. I must say that I’m pretty stoked to be going, I really wanted to see them play when I was in Oz.
