Well I’m having trouble trying to sleep so I figured I’d update the site. I went to the John Butler Trio concert tonight. I’ve been looking forward to seeing him live for a while now. Never got to see him in Oz b/c tickets always sell out before I find out about them. I bought the tickets without knowing who I’d be going with. But I managed to get one of my close friends to come along and introduce them to the splender of JBT. She was blown away by their skills. I knew John had some, but the rest of the band impressed me, I especially loved the 3-4min drum solo that the trio did. John and the bassest grabbed a couple bongos and joined the drummer… so good!
Looking forward to tomorrow (later today) when I’m off to Windsor to watch the OUA Track & Field Championships. It’ll be good to see some of my old teammates again. Just not looking forward to driving the 350km journey on my own. Oh well the sacrifices I make for my friends.
