F Gallery Released!!

Monday, October 24th, 2005

Well after long last, I’m releasing F Gallery for public use!

What is F Gallery?

- It’s a WordPress/Flickr plugin that allows you to display photos from your Flickr account on your website. Check out my photo gallery to see it in action.

What makes F Gallery different then the other WordPress/Flickr plugins?

- That’s easy… it’s the most customizable plugin out there!

What can I customize/do?

- Which photos/albums are viewable.

- The layout of each page and which pages are displayed.

- How each tag is displayed.

- The size of the photos that are displayed.

- Put gallery photos in your posts.

- Have a ‘badge’ on your main page to show your most recent photos.

- and much more!!!

How does it work?

I’ve split up the gallery into five pages (front, thumbnails, albums, tags and display) and each page has a its own template that has a different set of template tags available to it. But not only are the pages customizable, but each of the tags can be editted too.

Why is it so customizable?

That’s because I know that each website is unique to the owner and I don’t want everyone’s photo gallery to look the same. It should be as unique as the website. That being said, you can just install the plugin and use the basic CSS provided on the F Gallery page for people who just want a plug ‘n play plugin.

Where can I go for more help or show off my gallery?

I’ve set up a Flickr Forum for just this reason.

Anything else?

Just want to give a quick shout out the the people who volunteered to help and gave me some useful feedback on what features to include. These people include: Dave, Melle, Kory, Lammfellrolle and Olly.

Anyways, go download F Gallery and enjoy it!
