There’s been a lot of snow in the last day or so, schools got their second snow day in the span of a week.
So I tried to get to work today but since I don’t have snow tires and it takes some time for the snow plows to do my street, I worked from home. Towards the end of the day I took a walk before the light faded. This is a street in the ‘hood I live in. To think, about a week ago there was barely any snow on the ground. This is winter, this is why I like it. It’s a beautiful sight.
The one thing I’m amazed at in TO is how different neighbourhoods are. Last night, at the start of the storm, I tried to make it to my dodgeball game and I got stuck in the snow outside the school I play in. Cars lined up behind me as I blocked the road, but no one helped me out, I was left to try and rock the car on my own. Well this morning I tried to make it to work and got stuck on my street, I couldn’t even make it to the end of the block. Anyways, three of my neighbours (two of which I didn’t know) helped me push the car back into the driveway. One of which even pulled over their SUV and got out to help me… that’s totally cool. Glad I live in my ‘hood and not the one I got stuck in last night.
