In preparation for my upcoming trip I decided shave my beard of numerous years. Figured it was better to keep it clean while overseas then to let it grow massive or pack a beard trimmer. My chin has been exposed for only four weeks in in the last four years, I feel so naked.

Yesterday Manny and I hit up M.E.C. for some supplies. On my list was:

sleeping bag (my current bag is a little big and goes down to about zero, I don’t need that for backpacking)
money belt (surprising that I’ve never had one before)
dry sack (you never know)
first aid kit
collapsible water bottle
head lamp
hiking socks
plus a couple [...]
